GEN6
A Web3 platform built for the AI era — a trust layer enabling identity verification, content authenticity, and true end-to-end encrypted communication.
Summary
GEN6 is a Web3 platform built for the AI era, helping users verify creator identity and content authenticity, sign messages and media, and communicate with true end-to-end encryption.
I designed the brand identity and two connected digital experiences — a marketing website and decentralised apps site — to make a complex trust-layer product feel credible, approachable, and ready for a broad Web3 audience.
During this project, I owned:
- The brand identity and visual direction, from research and stylescapes to a preliminary brand guideline.
- The design of the marketing website, communicating GEN6's vision, features, and ecosystem across multiple pages.
- The design of the dapps site, including information architecture, wireframing, and full UI design for identity verification and content signing flows.
- A shared component library and design system in collaboration with the development team.
- A cohesive product and brand experience across two live websites: gen6.life and gen6.app.
Problem
No brand foundation
GEN6 had no brand identity, visual language, or strategic foundation to present a complex Web3 product to a broad audience.
Two distinct presences needed
The product needed two distinct but cohesive digital presences: a marketing site and a dapps interface for technical users.
Trust vs. approachability
The design had to build trust and credibility while remaining approachable — a difficult balance in a category often associated with complexity.
High cognitive load
UI clutter slowed users down and made the payment flow feel heavier.
Solution
Comprehensive brand identity and brand guideline suited to a Web3 audience.
This gave the platform a clear foundation for marketing and product experiences.
Marketing website (gen6.life) — multi-page site communicating GEN6's vision, features, and ecosystem.
The site explains the platform's value proposition and ecosystem in a clear, approachable way.
Dapps website (gen6.app) — designed with clear information architecture for users verifying identity and signing content.
The dapps site provides a focused experience for technical users and power users.
dApps landing
Created a clear landing point for users to explore the capabilities of dApps.
Validator dashboard
A responsive dashboard giving users a real-time view of their rewards, node status, and network activity.
Identity
A dApp that allows users to input links and create a secure, shareable identity.
Custom component library shared across both web properties.
Components were designed to be reused across marketing and dapps experiences.
Process
- Conducted brand and market research to establish the visual and strategic direction for a Web3 identity product.
- Presented multiple stylescape options and refined the chosen direction into a preliminary brand guideline.
- Collaborated with the team to develop a shared design system with custom components.
- Designed the marketing website (gen6.life): wireframing, UI design across all pages.
- Designed the dapps site (gen6.app): information architecture, wireframing, and full UI design.
Outcome
Two live websites serving 30,000+ users across the GEN6 ecosystem
- Both websites live and in active use.
- 30,000+ users across the GEN6 ecosystem.
- 140+ validators securing the network.
- $1.5M+ raised across community funding and grants.
