Vision Tracker
A personal productivity web app that makes progress visible on a calendar — combining journalling, event marking, and habit tracking into one calm interface.
Summary
Vision Tracker is a personal productivity web app built on a simple insight: people need to see their progress to feel it. Rather than tracking habits in the abstract, Vision Tracker makes progress visible on a calendar — combining journalling, event marking, and habit tracking into a single, calm interface. It works like crossing days off a calendar, but with meaning attached to each day.
Everything I did:
- The product concept and feature scope, focused on three core actions: journalling, events, and habits.
- Planned full user flow with the goal to keep things simple to use, highly visual and free of clutter and friction.
- The landing page design, communicating the value of seeing progress at a glance.
- The calendar-based app interface, where each day reflects journal entries, colour-coded events, and habit completions.
- A live web app launched at visiontracker.xyz, with all three core features operational.
Problem
Most habit and productivity tools are either too complex, require too much daily input, or don't make progress feel tangible. There was no simple tool that let users journal, mark meaningful events, and track habits — all on a visual calendar they could actually see filling up.
Process
- Defined the product scope around three core features: daily journalling, event/memory marking, and habit tracking — all surfaced on a monthly calendar view.
- Designed the landing page to communicate the core value proposition quickly.
- Designed sign-up and log-in flows with full backend authentication.
- Built pop-up interaction patterns for each feature: Journal (thoughts for the day), Event (name + colour), Habits (create and track).
- Kept the scope deliberately tight: desktop-only, one core view, three interactions.
